Default MSD Probillet distributer for lt1

WHIch way in or out advances the timing. I was told coming out 2.5 turns from all the way in puts it at stock but is all the way in advanced or fully retarded?

Turning the screw CW retards the timing and CCW advances the timing.

IMO you should not use one of these without a keyed hub, degreed balancer and a fabricated timing pointer. Otherwise you are just blindly guessing at the timing.

Reread my last post.

IMO far more people are buying these than who can competently see any benifit.
Leave this thing to the truely advanced users, most novices will just cause themselves a whole lot of hassle with this.

I am not trying to tune with it. It was 4 turns out from the factory and I went all the way in and back out 2 turns. It is now retarded untill i turn it another .5 turn,. It is not responding like it should and I want to try the .5 turn if any I will go within one turn advanced which msd said was 1.4 degree per turn.

I understand you are not tuning. Even if just zeroing it I feel it necessary to have the parts I listed.
We are talking about a piece that comes sometimes without an o-ring installed and a host of other minor issues. Not saying it is a bad piece just saying you need to verify it's accuracy.
