A buddie had one and I think it cost some money, but I was told that it flowed more than the 58mm TB so if you can throw the cash than it will be worth it!

Yeah, but the intake is a bigger restriction than the throttle body.

whoa - whoa! He asked about usage on "low power" cars.

What is the point of throwing $575 at 1300cfm air and the motor only can use 750cfm?

I think he's wonndering if the mono blade vs twin blade design is something to look at - not just bigger is better.
From ASM:

58 MM Monoblade Throttle Valve
1300 CFM Airflow

58 MM LT - 1 Throttle Body
1050 CFM air flow

Most guys start with a 52mm or none at all. I've read the stock 48mm flows around 750cfm and guys - including my car - are in the 12's with them.

Can't tell you the single vs twin blade advantage beside increased airflow - but sounds like a waste of money unless you have full race heads/cam/intake etc.

Good luck.

1300 cfm p/ASM mono specs and hell yes it is nice when the rest of the engine is built. Little overkill for a stock engine but another 1/3 the price of any other monoblade and you'll be setup for later. Paid $450 for mine.

That should read "less than 700 cfm and mid tens".
