If my POS is running would do my best to show up there. Have a few friends who are LTx types that would make the trip.
The big question is what classes.
Aside power adder, N/A, The only other is index. Maybe <12.5, 12.5 to 13.5 and >13.5

Well, Tony, since you are one of the initiators, hold the event either at San Antonio Raceway or at Texas Motorplex in Ennis. That way us Texas racers don't have to go too far.
I would love to compete in a LTX focused event. I read the LSX shootout ads in GMHTP and feel left out. Just don't make me pull the car halfway across the country.

Well Todd, If we have a national event we need to have it close enough for the majority to make it. Texas is not centrally located to make it fair for everyone.
Jeff I would love your help on this as well as anyone else. Tony please get with Scott if you can. I think Nitro Dave and Ray might also give them a shout.

If I was an organizer, I would abuse my power to make it easy for ME.
Besides, the best cars are in Texas.
EDIT to be serious for a change:
I'd love to go. I will try my damndest to make it as long as it is a central U.S. (or closer) location.
I'm in Austin, Texas.
Needs to be LTX only, rope in the C4 guys and Impy's but don't expand to other motor types if you want this to be an event to attest to the fact that LTXs are still relevant. Don't water it down by allowing any other motor type.

Hopefull this thread can break 3-4 pages with a percentage of people that 'might' show.
I will get in touch with a couple of my guys (Companys) and see if we can get more people involved.
The biggest thing is going to be demand, we need to have a solid amount of people that are definatly going to show. Considering that GMHTP and GM are sticking there heads out to fund the LSX shootout, this could be the last teamed event.
Im going to edit a bit of the starter post Shepherd if thats ok?
Tony.

considering the fact that my motor should be finished over the winter I might be interested in this. I'm from the Chicago area, but I could rent a trailer to head down to south Missouri, tennesse etc... I'm really not going any farther than that tho.

I would agree with taner, that Beech Bend would be a great location.

I would definately be down. I could organize the North Texas area. Get everyone to meet somewhere here and drive to the event. I also agree it should not be in Texas. Put it in the middle of the country. St. Louis, or Kansas is where I would say. If you go to far east, the west coast won't show. Put it in Texas and the North won't show. Gotta have it in the middle of the country..
We would need to also get in touch with the Impala boards as they are fairly organized and can help the turnout.
I will post on Camaroz28.com to get there interest.

St. Louis is less then 12 hours away, so that might be do-able, tiring, but do-able...
*** EDIT ***
Updating per the new first post requirements.
1) Statment above applies to my attendance.
2) I am located in PA near Philly.
