I have no trailer or truck to pull said lack of trailer but I will show up if all works out well far as dates and help run the event as I imagine we are going to need volunteers to help coordinate with the host track and you crazies, namely Tim scaring people with his 355. Since we cant appease every one, lets aim for a central location.

I tell ya what...if this happens we need a strong showing running even if you feel you can't win. What usually happens is one or two cars say they are gonna show for a class and then everyone else runs scared. Everyone from 13 sec. cars to 8 sec. cars need to come ...win or loose and show that the lt1s can pull the cars for a race. Then they may start paying attention to us again.

Houston, Texas

I agree with Tim, we need as many cars out there as possible, lets get the C4 and Impala guys out as well to help get more cars out there to race!

Tim Herrington Prairieville, Louisiana.(right outside Baton rouge). Write me down as a def. Only way my car won't be in this is if its broke. Then I would bring my backup lt1 if I still have it. If I have them both and they are running I will either race them both or find a driver for the 2nd one.

It most likely wont be in Texas if we are going to try and have lots of people join. Texas isnt exactly near everyone.

Made a link on Vette forums, if this is gonna work we gotta pool together as many LT1 guys as we can. Some one needs to let the Impala guys know as well.

Good Idea Neil, lets keep it to a couple forums for now though. We need to set it down and then go from there.

Hey Tony!

Make it midway between me and you and I'll be there!

And I live in FL of course.

Harold's got my heads done, just need to decide on whether to upgrade, or stay the same for now.

Tony S, shoot me your # in a pm again, I lost it and will probably have to keep tabs on this through you.

Tony,

Logistically, it's very difficult to do when people from all over the country have to converge at one spot.

What about several regional competitions to give most of the LTX cars out there a chance to participate? All events and individual set up's from each participant could be written about and appreciated by all. This could potentially provide the most informative and comprehensive article ever written to date on high performance LTX engines. GM High Tech could run a full story over several issues that highlights the latest and most successful combinations.

One central event is a GREAT idea, the practicality of it will unfortunately prevent many from taking part in it.

EDIT: I can assure you I have a magazine worthy LT1 set up and would definately show up if an event could be in Southern California. Please pass on the idea of a multiple event to the management at GM High Tech.

Why not have it in Memphis just like the ls1 race. Its a nice central location.. I live in jax, FL and there's now way I'm driving to Texass...

most of the fast cars are in the southeast anyways, with a few exceptions from cali, but they got money so they can drive their happy asses out here..

or Gainsville thats a nice *** track. If we want to go cheap it could be held in steele, AL

just my .02's

BUILT LT1,

That is a great idea, the thing with GMHTP is they like it easy, if we could get camera/reports at say 3 events spread across the nation that would be our best option I agree.

The more we spread I think the less people will go, and how do we get track time when we have 20 cars? We literaly need 40+ to successfuly rent a track out.

I will convey this idea on though, any ideas are welcome guys, we are all in this.

Tony.
