Two Points...
First of all, I searched about six months before I bought my 97 LT1 with 60k miles in April. I noticed that while you can get a modded LT1 for pretty cheap, unmolested LT1's are going UP in price, to the extent that they are running about the same price as a 98 LS1.
Second, sometimes low miles isn't a good thing. Although mine was low miles, it had sat for around two years, which isn't good for a car, and I've had a bunch of problems with it. I've had to basically rebuilt the cooling system and a lot of the seals and gaskets.
Having said that, I think the price is a little high, but it all depends on what you want. If you plan on keeping the car pretty much stock, then it may be a good deal, especially if you hate body work. If you plan on a lot of mods, I would look for something cheaper.
BTW, I paid 9k for my 97. Here's a pic.
