Default Battery Problem??

Car wouldn't start, turn the key forward it acts like its a low battery, starter makes noise but wont crank the motor over. Noticed the lights dim when I turn the key forward and try to start it, figure thats normal for a low battery, but the speedometer goes up to when I crank it. Kinda threw me off, to maybe I have a issue else where.

well why dont you just get 12 volts of power to it and see if it fixes it?
jump start it, get a battery charger, or borrow a battery from another car

Well to my luck I think my battery charger just died, gonna pull the battery tomorrow morning and have it put on a real battery charger, see if that fixes it. I need to start putting it in the garage backwards so I can actually jump it with another car, you would think I would have learned my lesson by now.

lol yea. you could just take the batter out of another car and carry it to the front of yours, then connect them

Looks like its a bad starter, charged the jumper up, tested the batter it said it had power, went to start it, starter just clicked a lot. After that tried again, stopped clicking just saw the lights turn out when I turned the key forward, starter wont even click now. Time to yank it.

check the terminal voltage while cranking, that should tell you if it is the battery.

Well I was able to get enough charge from the jumper box to get the starter to almost crank the motor. I need to find the voltmeter and see whats up with it.
