Anything will 'fit' with enough work. And it will take a metric shitload of work to make an LT5 fit a 4th gen. For the money it would take to make it fit, I would say just mod your LT1. Even if you got the LT5 in and running, performance parts are few, far between, and stupid expensive. A set of cams recently sold on CorvetteForum for $2,000.

he wont need cams for it. all he would need to do is put a 150 shot on and he'll be at 500+hp.

or you could do a procharger later on

To each his own, but spending that kind of time and money to get +/-350 rwhp seems like a waste. Yeah, it will have a lot of wow factor, but you are swapping in a heavier motor that doesn't make any more power than a cam/ported heads LT1.

Alot of you seem to be stuck on the "wow" factor..instead of thinking about the practicality of this.
Like mentioned above, there are very, very few parts for this, and it takes alot of money to maintain one of those Engines. Not to mention that you still have to wire it in..I say it's more hassle than it's worth for the amount of power that it yields.

How much are you getting this Engine for?

What? A complete LT5 for under $100? Something isn't right here.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...&highlight=lt5

There is an LT5 for sale for $12K, one of the few I have seen for sale. Why would anyone sell you an LT5 for $100 when they are worth over $10K?

maybe its one of thoes kitchen sized LT5s.

hell id put an LT5 in my car anyday if i had the money. i dont need alot of power to get a wow effect. all i need to have is the exoticness of an LT5 in there. hell i dont even need a car to get a wow effect, all i need to do is take my pants off and let the sea monster turn heads.

wow, 100 dollars???

that is insane, if the engine is in good working order I say buy it. For 100 dollars I would do it, heck I would do it for 1000 dollars

Anyways, Formula350 posted a few pictures of a guy building a stroker LT5 looked amazing.

with forced induction that LT5 will be a force to be reckoned with
