high rpm "popping" on nitrous
so I ran my car at the track this weekend. its all stock except for hooker LT's, CAI and a nos wet fogger. I was running open exhaust, and VP 112 fuel and drag lites with 28x11.5x15 MT ET Streets, but I couldent get very good traction.
My problem was a high rpm popping, and shooting flames out the headers and would not rev up at like 5000 rpm the first pass than at 4500 on the next. It sounded brutal.
My first run was alright, but it bogged it off the line giving me a terrible 60ft. I ran a 13.3 at 110 mph and a 2.1 60 ft.
I have 39 psi fuel pressure, 51 and 33 I believe nitrous jets, If i remember right.
And a 3000-5800 window switch.

tr6 plugs, gapped to .050, but I changed it to 0.035. stock ignition except msd wires.
not sure on the bottle pressure, just got it filled. It was a warm day, with no bottle heater. I pulled the plugs out and they look like they got hot, theyre all white but not fowled at all. I'll see if someone got a vid of my car doing this at the track...
I took it got a rip today, with 94 fuel. It did the same think mildly, and backfires loud when you let off the gas.

I just got the zex plugs and they work good with my nitrous system. Im squeezing 100 shot. I had an msd 6al but just sold it cause im buying a delteq. Zex part number i think was 82003 and i ordered them through autozone. They didnt sell a pack for v8's so got 2 packs of 82003-4. Try those and if i was you just try running 8 gallons of 91 with the n.o.s. racing formula octane booster. I have a bone stock lt1 with 154000 miles. when i say stock, i mean stock opti, stock water pump, stock internals all have never been touched. Get a used msd unit, msd coil from autozone, and msd wiring adapter and it takes like 15 minutes to install. You could try that and let me know if it helps.

that makes sense, because it was wouldent rev up, and the flames coming out of the exhaust was the extra fuel. I'll start with getting a gauge.
So if I was runing a 13.3 @110 , with it running shitty 12's shouldent be a problem?

Dont blow the engine up. If it's popping get the hell out of it and figure out the problem or you're gonna be pulling that motor out. If it's popping either rich or lean, it'll blow the engine. GET A BOTTLE PRESSURE GAUGE. Read up on nitrous and how to use it. If it was a full bottle on a warm day then you're pressure should have been atleast 900 psi.
