I use ngk because copper > platinum imo.

Can't really go wrong with either though.

Are you supposed to gap the NGK TR55 plugs at .055? That's why they call them TR55?

no I am for sure horse-power that it is the name of the plug just like the TR55IX that I have those are the iridium ones. You want to gap your plugs at .55. Devin

Platinum and iridium are ONLY for longevity.
Multiple electrodes are a sales gimick.
For a stock motor NGK TR55 (or TR5 regapped as they come with a small gap) are good as is Autolite 106. NGK as the number goes up the plug gets colder for example a TR6 is good for an LT1 on juice. Autolite a 104 is good for modified motors with higher compression and a 103 is better for nitrous.

Beware of how folks evaluate plugs, most people put fresh plugs in and say whatever they just bought it great, neglecting to consider they probably replaced the old ones because they were worn.

So is a NGK TR55 or autolite 104 better for a N/A high compression motor?

I run NGK tr55. I ran Autolite 104's and had a problem with fouling them. I have just a bolt on car and the 104's were probably to cold of a plug for my application.
