the 26 sound like they are goana give you 2-3 tenths...you pulled the wheels with them....i even think you could do 4.10 with 26's....then weather will be icing on the cake....

i dont think the t/b will hurt...ls1 guys with bolt ons were using fast 90/90 setups on stock cammed cars....guess thats how you get 10.90 with an bolt on auto daily driver...you could try or at least do a 52mm(since intake ports are only 52)...maybe it wont help much mayb it will if it hurts then remove it...

what kinda temps re you runnin the car at? and what did you program shift point at? and did you ever do that lockup thing?

Yeah I know the 26" tires would be ideal, but I have to deal with what I have. I was thinking about getting a 52mm tb for spring if I fall short on the record this fall. And for the lockup yeah I lock the converter at about 92 MPH to bring the RMPs back down to peak torque for the second time while in 3rd gear. I attempted removing the converter lockup completely and consistantly lost some, so I know this is helping. In your PM youasked about what gears and all and I would only suggest trying it in 3rd (1:1 ratio), your out of 2nd too fast for it to matter due to the gear ratio of 2nd...

I don't remember if I mentioned it here or not (I think I may have, I just don't feel like digging). Change your fuel filter before your next run.

Ever think of going with a different gear? Or adding 1.7 rockers?

And i thought my LT1 was fast with just bolt ons. Nice job man. That is impressive, but 11s are going to look even better.

Nothing special, stock rear suspension except a spohn 1" stock style swaybar, Comp engineering shocks, and the heater hose mod on the springs. The front suspension consist of !swaybar, and QA1 shocks and springs... I still nead a lot of suspension work...

Gear yeah, rockers no, but either way I have run out of money for this season.

I think my home made CAI does well enough.

thought about that, but I don't think it is worth it since I don't plan on staying bolt-on only. Once I break the record, and not just by a little, I want to install all the goodies (H/C, N2O, can we say stock internal record ) that I have in the basement waiting to go in the car. Unfortumnatly my current rear and the LS1 shaft would be useless then. But if I found one for a good price that I could resell and not lose too much on for only using it for a few months then yeah it might be something to consider...

I would just hate to waste the little money I have on stuff that will not be used next season. I know the LTX shootout is technically next season, but if I didn't get the record by then I might consider some of these little things to get the record then moving on...

Thumbs up

Nice to see someone still pushing their bolt-on LT1! My old bolt-on set up was the most fun I've had with ANY car I've owned.
Keep at it & good luck!

I've been off the scene since early 2005. My poor TA sat up for a while and I hated to see it going to waste, so I sold it. I just picked up another TA (LS1 I'm sorry to say) for a good price and am getting back into it.
You guys get an LT event together and I'll make the trip to watch for sure!
