Gear yeah, rockers no, but either way I have run out of money for this season.
I think my home made CAI does well enough.

thought about that, but I don't think it is worth it since I don't plan on staying bolt-on only. Once I break the record, and not just by a little, I want to install all the goodies (H/C, N2O, can we say stock internal record ) that I have in the basement waiting to go in the car. Unfortumnatly my current rear and the LS1 shaft would be useless then. But if I found one for a good price that I could resell and not lose too much on for only using it for a few months then yeah it might be something to consider...

I would just hate to waste the little money I have on stuff that will not be used next season. I know the LTX shootout is technically next season, but if I didn't get the record by then I might consider some of these little things to get the record then moving on...
Ive been hiding under a rock, ive got a few plans and ideas so far

I figured I would update this post to show the timeline...

Last night was the first time I was able to get the car out this season, with a few more weight reduction mods and a sticky 26" tire I was able to get it down to 11.860 @ 115.09 and it felt slow off the line with the 1.639 60'... Once I get that 60' knocked down then I will definitly have the record...

John Great times there,really impressed.

wow, amazed to see some of the guys from our lil GMHTP Bolt on Shootout here.

Like Sar2k,i also sold my lt1 car after it sat for years, had full tubular suspension, and was around 75% complete before it got laid to rest then sold after 4 years of collecting dust.

Just picked a 2004 GTO so im getting back into the scene myself

Dirk,

Glad to see your getting back into it. You had us scared after selling it within weeks of getting that killer motor built but never installed...

Talk to you later, oh and I hear you are back up north, we should try to catch up at some point. I haven't seen you since we help you move down south...

No updates, I have tuned it a little at my last few outings over the summer to get a little more out of it in the heat and I am hoping to have some good numbers the next time out to the track. Actually, before my brakes were acting up I was in the 11.90's in high DA summer heat, so it looks promising. But, my car is in pieces right now, and I threw my back out, damn I hate getting old...

My brakes were hanging up and slowing me down, so I need to finish the brake upgrade then put things back together, then hit the track again. I'd say in about a month or so look for updates because I will hopefully have my back in enough shape to finish the work that needs to be done on the car...

Tony,

The gears won't be as much of an improvement with a stalled A4 but is can definitly help, but mainly with keeping you in your power band. The 4.10s would also be a slight benefit off the line, but the converter already does a lot to multiple torque...

If funds are tight, then don't worry about it for now, but keep it in mind for later. I wish I did 4.10s and planned on it, but the 3.73's fell in my lap for an unbeatable price...
