hmmmm...I'd personally rather pay the 13k for the LS7 crate motor, and spend the rest towards getting that beast stuffed into my 95...and hell my cam only, stock unported heads and intake, and stock TB went 358..

i think if someone gave me 15k to build them an engine, i would go with the a 6.0 truck block and some L92 heads. stuff the block with the finest forgings. do a little touch up in the ports. perhaps a nice cam in the 240@.050 range. single plane carb intake with injectors and a throttle body to match everything for the non f bods, and use the L92 LS2 style intake for the f-bods. have power comparable to the LS7 with out needing the sump. and still come in around (if not under) the 10k mark. but i am just a dreamer.

Furthermore the LS1 engine is no good for serious horsepower. It has been proven time and time again.

The horsepower rating of 450 is actually underrated by about 100 HP, as this is a stroked and hosed engine that is being offered.

Anyone looking to dump the Del Teq coil pack conversion for an MSD or Stock opti is just a plain fool and does not understand whats going on inside their distributor to warrant the much needed upgrade.

As far as purchasing a new LS1 engine or a Merlin BB I have only one thing to say... "Good luck with that pipe dream". This package for sale includes install and we have another one that is driven every day to back it up. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Sorry my first post had to be so hostile, but I am sure you guys would not have wanted it any other way.

I do have a better setup than this package that is posted and paid a lot less. Feel free to see the link below. If you want I'll even race against one of these setups. LOL afford it hahahaha your funny. I don't need to rip on it here I can do it at the track all night long if ya want. You say it's under rated by 100 HP, I seriously doubt it with those Stock GM LT4 heads and LT4 hot Cam. Just because it's stroked don't mean you are going to get more HP. Good luck if it is you selling this on Ebay...looks like 2 things are gonna happen here. 1) some dumb *** will buy it 2) it' gonna sit there for a while and collect dust.

"For this reason we ONLY build our engines with the following premium parts-"

the parts listed are not premium parts and I am sure others will agree with me. I'm not saying my setup is king **** but I do think my valve train is way better than what is offered on this ebay "rip off"

Lotus designed but built by Mercury Marine great motor and GM put one in a 1996 IMPALA SS for Tim Allen. Pays to have deep pockets! My machinist builds big bore, stroker LT5's; next time I'm at his shop I may take some pics of the 4XX LT5 he's building now. (I think its a 440 something.)

Your time must not be worth nothing, and your parts stolen. I would not mind a good race. I have looked at your link and from what I see, one of our "Budget" LT4 clones should be sufficiant for this race. I am in the Detroit Merto area and work late, anytime is fine.

The LT4 heads are not stock on the 15K build, you fail to read. Your claims of not gaining any horsepower by stroking the engine are absolutly absurd. You should take that back right away before people start making you eat it.

It does look like two things are going to happen here, 1) When someone buy's it you stand to look like a dumb *** at the track 2) Advertisement

You think your valve train is better? Well.... We happen to KNOW otherwise.

This engine is set up to handle the dry nitrous system with its forged steel SRP pistons
hmm... care to explain where you found a set of STEEL SRP pistons at?

Furthermore the LS1 engine is no good for serious horsepower. It has been proven time and time again.
nevermind, I'm sorry I ever replied to this post, it's obvious this guy has no clue what he's talking about. go tell this to the multiple guys running single-digit 1/4 mile times in their LS1 cars.

Man, go read some of the other items that seller has for sale, and read some of the ebay feedback. I all over again.

sellc - Look at the LE1 and LE2 packages . You could buy them - resell them with your name on them for a couple thousand more and still charge $10,000 less. If the labor and all the bolt ons and such are included you could charge $5000 less and still have a much better, much faster and powerfull setup. I think sellc is probably not realy the seller of that ebay package anyway - Probably a troll who likes to stir stuff up. I could not imagine anyone making a ridiculous ebay post like that and actually trying to defend it on this site.

Yes this build is rather custom however the term STEEL in general must be too broad for your understanding. You understand what FORGED means don’t you? lol .....But really, you do know that SRP is really JEPistons right?

The guys running single digit passes on their LS1 cars are more like corporations very few private owners. I have been working with all aluminum engines as far back as the 80's so please dont try and compare 30-50K engines with this 15K Performance overhaul.
Franks and beans? No way man... Your talking "Apples and oranges"

You like talking out your *** too?

Why dont you put up or shut up? So far NO-ONE in here has mentioned ANY dollar amounts. Furthermore, no one has offered up ANY real performance package other than "Buy a crate motor". I got news for you people, crate motors dont come installed.

So far you are all FOS and too lazy to even do the math. I have no more time for this. I work on engines that cost more than 3 of your cars put together. Spare me, save all your $hit talking until someone offers up a better TOTAL performance package.

What is remotely LT4 about this motor to make it an "LT4 Clone"?

Eh... You are kidding me right?

Did you even read it? Do you know what an LT4 consist of? Are you being a smart *** or do you just genuinely not know?

You could read the ad and that should about tell you.

Wes's LT4 CLONE

If you really do not know just say so, I would be more than happy to spell it out.

Yeah we been doing more and more of them thru the years. Wes purchased the last of our stock so now the clone is strictly on a "bring your own good core" bassis till next year. We always seem to russle up a few good cores at the right price over the winter
