Read his feedback, the one dude says it's basically BS. I'm sure he copied our NEWBIE FAQ

BTW I edited my earlier post with the nit-picking.

I forgot about this gem.

Do YOU know what FORGED means?

I'm going to go out on a limb and assume you mean Hypereutectic?

“Hypereutectic” means “Over” eutectic. The word eutectic refers to a condition in chemistry when two elements can be alloyed together on a molecular level, but only up to a specific percentage, at which point any additional secondary element will retain a distinct separate form.

Although internal combustion engine pistons commonly contain trace amounts (less than 2% each) of Copper, Manganese, and Nickel, the major element in automotive pistons is Aluminum due to its light weight, low cost, and acceptable strength. The alloying element of concern in automotive pistons is Silicon. Gold and Silver have no eutectic point, which means they can be alloyed together in any ratio. However, when Silicon is added to Aluminum they will only blend together evenly on a molecular level up to approximately a 12% Silicon content. For the purposes of this discussion, Silicon in this context can be thought of as “powdered sand”, and any Silicon that is added to aluminum at above a 12% content will retain a distinct granular form instead of melting. At a blend of 25% Silicon, there is a significant reduction of strength in the piston alloy, so stock hypereutectic pistons commonly use a level of Silicon between 16% and 19%. Special molds, casting, and cooling techniques are required to obtain uniformly dispersed silicon particles throughout the piston material.
I hope that wasn't too much of a read, or over your head. I even made bold the point I was trying to make. But if so, I'll sum it up. Pistons that are aluminum, don't contain steel.

EDIT: Wait, gosh, it just came to me. How could I be so blind. When you listed it as "Forged" you meant like forgery! As in a fake! haha How ironic, seeing as your "LT4 Clone" is a forgery too!

As ridiculous as that ebay engine is, this sellc guy can't possibly be the seller. No one who has built a single LT1 would be as ignorant about the LTx engines as this dude is.

My knowledge of LTX engines is barely passable, and even I was thinking this guy was from Pluto. On the other hand, he has provided an excellent example as to how to kill your reputation and scare off many potential customers with a textbook how-not-to-succeed display of arrogance, exaggerated self-importance, and delusions of grandeur.

Unfortunately I think this SELLC guy is the real deal. If you follow the autotrend address in his sig you can find his forum and bio all under the same screen name.

Better luck next time.

BTW LT4 heads come with single valve springs, our LT4 clone heads come with dual springs. The LT4 head has a .010 bigger valve.... Whoopie... $1000 for new valve seats and single springs... What a bargan!
You just continue to show how little you really know about these engines. The roller rockers and camshaft? You do realize that the stock LT4 cam (not the Hot Cam) had less or equal lobe lift than a stock LT1 cam (depending on year). So the 1.6 rocker are what gave you the higher valve lift but your clone only offers 1.5 rockers. Enough with the single valve springs, we all know that they are marginal for the Hot Cam and need to be replaced unless you are going with a smaller cam. Speaking of smaller cams, you could most likely get away with using the stock LT4 valve springs with that ZZ4 cam and 1.5 rockers with a max lift of .510 on your clone. So you are trying to say that an LT4 head is just an LT1 head with bigger valves? You do realize that they are different castings with the LT4 having bigger port volumes allowing for more flow?

.010 bigger valve.... Whoopie...
That statment tells me you know very little about air flow in cylinder heads. I will say it again, the main increase in power from the LT1 to the LT4 came from the LT4 Heads (with new valve train) and the new intake that was required due to the increased intake port height. If GM could have just thrown on some 1.6 RR and got the 30 more hp don't you think that would have been easier? The heads and intake are really what defines an LT4 and your clone has neither.

Really we are a smaller outfit. Right now there is a waiting list for the LT4 clone. I really don’t care how you feel regarding your thoughts about this forum making or breaking our company. Really we just come in here to defend our business and it is quite obvious that the lesser financed folks seem to think that’s wrong. Oh well.

We service and repair all makes and models of vehicles. So have a good source of income other than just the Chevrolet crowd. If you don’t like what we are selling just go buy something else. But if you talk smack about us, be prepared to get smacked down like the bitch you are.

The stock LT1 does not come with a big cam, roller rockers or head work. The LT4 Clone is a good engine at a fair price. The listing for the 15K Vette overhaul is also a good price and value.

Most of you people have not a clue what you’re on about in terms of the LT1 or LT4. Most of you are lacking even basic automotive knowledge. The constant hear say that many of you spew usually accompanies no real numbers or backing. That’s the problem with forums like this..... They let anyone in here.

Our customers are the ones we treat right… Smart mouth rookies get no respect.

Best Regards to the people whom have done business with us.

Also the G2 LT1 was only made in the Camaro/Firebird from 1993-1997 a little earlier for the Corvette, but the vette block is a 4 bolt and considered "Gold Dust" in G2 LT1 format.

This guy doesn't even know the extent of the GEN II application. You're forgetting B-body 94-96, and D-body 94-96.
