Default Lightweight carpeting and sound deading material

Where can I find it? Speed Inc. no longer carries it. Are there any other companies that sell pre- formed carpeting and sound deadening material for our cars? I want to start doing some hardcore weight reduction. I figure I'll start out by redoing my interior with racing seats and carpeting. Thanks everyone.

Also, to delete the A/C, do I only need a delete pulley? I'm reading that there's a large hole left in the firewall after it's pulled. Do I need something for that? Like this-

Might as well make this my weight reduction ideas thread. This is the carbon fiber hood I'm looking into-

You need the 1LE pulley if you ditch the a/c, it bolts to the factory accessory bracket in place of the stock a/c comp, reuses the 3 mounting holes and hard ware, as well as stock belt length given your running the stock crank and alt pullies. If you get adventurous and pull every thing in the dash, then yea, you need to block off the new gaping hole, you can use sheet metal and cut it to fit, how ever a pre-made template from Bilinglsey Racecraft or the like would be fine. I left all my a/c and hvac in behind the firewall and removed every thing firewall forward or the expansion valve (gold thing the a/c lines the connect to). It's a bitch too try and pull sound deading from under the carpet, you can use a light weight carpet, but from what I have been told that stuff wears pretty quick if the cars driven a lot. Good luck

Thanks guys. Isn't that Ozite stuff what they put on sub boxes? Doesn't sound like it would be too appealing for carpeting. Maybe though. I read somewhere that someone was using standard insulation from a house as sound deadening material and that it worked great. What do you guys think about that? Would it be much lighter than the stock sound deadening stuff?

What about something like this?- http://store.bobdrake.com/fibin1.html

as far as the hood goes. i went with a vfn 4' cowl. 310 then 80 to ship. fits pretty good , a little short on the nose area. if you remove the heater box and all the connections from the firewall, you can go to lowes and buy some tin. i used some sheet metal screws and sealed it up with rtv. then used victory red dupli color and it matched pretty damn good. http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=5877291
i'll take a pic or 2 today of the hood. i myself am looking for some carpet locally but haven't found any yet. make sure you keep posting all the products you find.
