Driver side piece of cake, passanger side took me a little more time. I then reliezed that I should undone the passanger side motot mount and jack up the engine, I jacked the engine up about 2 in and the header slide right in from the top CAKE.

Any time man, I would suggest that when I was taking off the old stuff I put my whole car up on ramps it gave me more room to drop the old stuff, the old front O2 sesnors may not come off I was lucky and I got the passanger one to come out fine, but the driverside one would not come out so I had to buy a new one. You should jack the car up a good ways but not extremly high b/c the DS header will go in from the bottom and the car was on ramps in the front, the PS will go in from top. You may break your temp sesnor that controls the gauge on the dash don't be worried if you break it cuz you can get one at a GM dealer from about 24 bucks, don't snage your low oil level senor wire cuz I did and then I had to spend more money to get it fixed, liquid wrench will be your friend spray all bolts done a night or two before. If you need any more hlep 95camZ just PM me and I can message you that way. Devin

That gauge temp sesnor is located in the DS head.

Nice work!

Im having a shop put on my headers, fack that ****.
I helped a buddy rebuild his entire motor, with a new crank, opti, # 7 piston, rods, and some other new parts, and god damn it was fun.

A ******* pain in the ***, but fun.

Honestly it was not that hard, the hardest part was figuring out how the hell to put in the PS header. I will admit that the LT1 HAS A LOT OF CLOSE spaces that you just need to get used to. I did this with my friends b/c :1) I wanted to learn, 2) experience is better than any book or internet, and 3) shops around here charge about 800 dollars to do a header install. Devin

I also installed both of mine from underneath. The only extra thing you have to do is take out the oil dipstick tube. No big deal and saves around an hour of work. I also did this in a friend's garage on jackstands. No need for a lift unless you have access to one.

I think the pacesetter off road ones go in fine and the emission legal ones need to have the passenger side mount undone or you have to use a BFH. I used a BFH with the emissions legal ones.

That dam egr pipe that sticks out of the passenger side header made my install take like three hours longer than it should have. shouldve went off road as all that crap is blocked off now.

That oil filter wrench I got a O'RIELYS cost me about 3 bucks, it fit like a glove. My dyno numbers were also on a DYNOJET.

Are you gonna pull the AIR pump of the car? Its pretty much useless now since there are no more cats. If you leave it on, its gonna backfire like a **** when you first turn the car on.

I was thinking about the A.I.R. pump but then I thought what am I going to do with that hole that goes into the connection that bolts to the intake elbow? I can take it out in about oh lets say like 20 mins but then there is a bracket that holds it up can I go ahead and take that bracket off? I know the A.I.R metal tubes will stay there right but if I remember correctly the A.I.R pump bracket holds up the A.I.R metal pipe on the DS. Any help on this reply by me would be greatly appreciated. I then would need to get that tuned out.

Acutally backfire is really not bad, I got another ? when I put on the brakes my ORY I think is hitting the floor by the back passangers area? I was thinking about taking off my exahust crossmember and cutting a slit into it and taking a 2 ft lont hose clamp and tigthing the hose clamp down and through the cross member so that the hose clamp pulls the ORY down a little bit, I also got free heater hose that I can slit down the middle and cram in between the DS floor board, but besides these two problems I really have no other issues. When I turn the ORY flexs is this common? Thanks for all the help. Devin
