New on here with a noise question

Ive got a 93 T/A Automatic bone stock (not for long). And recently whenever i get on the throttle there is a thump sound that you can physicaly feel and hear. It is almost as if somone is getting a good hit with a big mallet under the car. Anyone have this problem before?

Try searching either this forum or the General Maintenance forum for "Transmission Mount" and see if it sounds like the same problem you are having. That would be my first guess.

Thanks man. From what I see it is the same issue the other guys are having. Im gona have to get one of those installed for the track tomorow.

For what it's worth, as long as you are replacing it I would read up on Poly mounts versus stock mounts and see which one you think would work better for you, I know there are pros and cons to each but I don't know much more than that.

I can guarantee it's the tranny mount lol When I did mine on m 91, I put the Energy Suspension trans mount on it and I recommend it to everyone

Well I ordered a poly one off of ws6 store and went to checker and they hooked me up with one so i can race this weekend for 5 bucks. Now i need to figure out if i should hook up the nitrous off my old car and put it on this one.
