I say we crash that party, lol. I'm not gonna have a damned thing to do the night before anyways, minus the irresponsible consumption of choice beverages, haha!

Are we allowed to camp overnight at the track?? any additional charges to do so??

They allowed camping this year, but had some problems. The rumor was they were not going to let anyone camp next year, but who knows. I can let everyone know when it gets closer.

I'm also working on getting a group rate for a hotel, so that's an option also.

Well Jason, I can throw my little car in the ring.

If I spray it to the moon maybe I could keep you guys in sight.

It's a different animal than when you saw it run 'bout a year and a half ago, but still not the level of build that you and a couple other guys will be packing.

The 385 is gone and a 396 is sitting on the K-member now.

Looks good man!

My biggest changes since putting it sideways at half track trying to run nines is to put in a Nitrous controler and a MADMAN suspenion. I am hoping those two things and some wieght lose(me and the car) will get it far enough into the nines to be competitive. I gotta tell you...DAMN this thing is heavy!

I am hoping we can get Madman there friday night to help dail a few of us in

i will start a Madman suspension thread. needless to say i would like to be first in line

i would love to camp at the track. it would be fun, I would hate to think a few a-holes would wreck it for everyone else. and besides the cost of gas alone will probably near 800 for the round trip. would be nice to save a couple of bucks on accomodations.

What we run into at big races where many tow with and stay in motorhomes are the drunks that want to have loud parties way into the night. I stay in hotels to avoid those. The upside is if they get drunk enough and stay up late enough, it tends to be hard on their reaction times come race time.

Ray/Chopstix. I really haven't decided. I'm on the fence about which class as we still don't even have the car fully assembled, much less know what it's really going to do. I know, that's the status of a bunch of guys' cars. I guess I'll shake the sand out of my vagina and make a decision, but right now I don't really know how competitive the car will be.

Ideally we can button it up very soon, strap it on the dyno, throw a tune in there, and make it out to the track a couple times before the big event. :crossfingers:

Most likely Extreme Street. Prolly won't have the nitrous all dialed in for Heads Up P/A and won't be quick enough for Heads UP N/A

I will be in Heads Up Power Adder....guys it is not always who has the fastest car in these events. It is about who can consistently make it down the track.

I took second place at the LS1Tech race in San Antonio in Extreme Modified with an 11.0 car....the #1 Qualifier ran an 8.76 in qualifying but lost to me in the semi-finals.

Enter the class that is the best description of your car and lets go have some fun, it shouldn't be about winning or loosing.

Outlaw....bad *** race prepped machines
HU/PA...race prepped street cars w/power adder
HU/NA...race prepped NA street cars
Extreme street....heavy modded street cars...closer to daily drivers

What he said! I am figuring I will only be running mid nines if things go well. Our class is probably going to run into the 8s. I just hope to make rounds

I was thinking about camping but the wife veto'd that. She said she was not driving 8 hours, sleeping in a tent for 2 days, and driving 8 hours again.
