Default SLP, Lingenfelter, or Moroso CAI?

Is any one design superior to the others? I'd like to add CAI to my '95 Formula, and see that each of these brands is available on eBay. The SLP appears to be significantly more expensive, otherwise I cannot tell which might be a better design.

Thanks for any help.

1/2 dozen in one hand and six in the other. SLP is over priced. I have a Moroso CAI for your car for sale. If your interested shoot me a PM.

If you have a ram air hood, go to a f-body junkyard and pick up the ram air intake

I want to pick up an Airbox for my ram air hood. I'll sell my SLP CAI when I get the box.

Get an LS1 style intake with the slp lid. But if you don't want to go that approach the SLP I had on my old car was great. I would have it on this one except it was destroyed when the car got hit. Moroso is probably just as good and its made from composite so there is less heat soak--> which makes no friggin difference when air is flowing through it so fast! So your are left to decide by price and what looks better to you. I think the Slp looked cooler than moroso, which was one reason I got it.

Moroso is more then fine. The SLP, the twin filter is a metal intake, heavier and can head soak.

if you dont have the WS6 hood, then the lid is out of the question unless you want to cut the cross beam in front of the radiator. im using what B4CZR2 mentioned. lid and a K&N.

Whatever is cheaper they will have the same performance gain. Unless you want SLP for looks.

I have the SLP, i got it used so it wasnt to much $. I like the 2 tube design. It sounds pretty good too. I noticed a decent increase in power as well. SLP is overpriced i have to say...

<--hahaha looks like a hajie. Anyways I have a WS6 Raptor style hood that US Exotics made. I have a ram air box from suncoast. Does the LS1 Box and lid perform better, I know that it looks better, but will it work on an LT1. Just curious. Sorry for throwing that in. Just thought I would ask since it was brought up in discussion.

the lid does perform a hair better than the regular CAI design. it gets some air forced up to it from the air dam compared to having a regular CAI suck it up from the box in the front bumper. itll work with the LT1 great, but you need hood clearance to make it a "bolton".

I, too, think that the SLP unit looks cooler than the others. But, my budget does not allow me to buy parts just because they are pretty.

What should I expect to pay for these parts used?

Thanks, I am happy with the air box I have I am just thinking into the future, when I decide to clean up the engine bay and thought about the ls1 box verses the lt1 ram air box, and the ls1 looks far better.

Personally, I like the converted LS1 lid setup. I believe a few people have gained decently at the track with that setup.

Quick Reply: SLP, Lingenfelter, or Moroso CAI?
