Default brake peddal is hard as hell to push

i just seafoamed my car and i was going to go drive it as i was going to put it in park i noticed the brake peddal was hard as hell to push. so that would mean that some brake fluid is needed right if so which would be the best one to get.

Dot 3 heh. I believe the Dot4/5 can work, as in it's backwards compatible...

If it's still hard after that, then it's just probably one of two things, a dead master cylinder or a dead brake booster (the big cylindrical thing )

Being low on fluid wouldn't make the pedal hard to push.

Speed is right though. I can't remember if air in the line will do that though. Which low fluid could be the cause of.

If the brakes need bled you would have a soft pedal. I doubt it was low enough to need that done. You either have a bad booster or more then likely you lost vacuum to the booster some how or your car is idling very low and not building vacuum

Seafoam is really good about blowing vac lines off. Check all your lines. Maybe the brake booster hose is on, but maybe you blew another key line off, and now your vacuum is low. Do you have a gauge to check vacuum? Check every single vac line you can find, make sure none of the lines are split. Also, a swivel adaptor is usually present on the brake booster, where the vac hose attaches. Is it in all the way?

Is your master cylinder leaking? Check underneath it, along the lines, etc.
