LT4 Hot Cam Kit????
LT4 Hot Cam Kit???? Is this kit worth getting??? What kind of numbers will this kit put down? I want to cam my car but dont want to over do cause its my dd. Or should i just go with like a 305 cam?

For what it is, the hotcam package is a decent buy it should give around 330hp and maintain stock drivability. The cc503 is going to give more power and can still be tuned to be a well mannered cam, but you will have to run down all of the parts separate for the swap. Which is not a big deal but worth mentioning.

I'm in the same ball field. I rode in my friend's cammed LS1, and its a very lopey cam. It sounds bad ***, but driving for a longtime is uncomfortable.
I want a DD cam, i'll probably be getting the LT4 cam kit myself..

A lot of people do not like the Hot Cam Package but for the money it is a good deal, The cam and rockers are made from Crane for chevy, I had this setup at one time, with a stall, stock gears, bolt ons and went 12.6.
Id recommend the LPE 211/219, very small cam but also VERY good numbers. It does it by raising dynamic compression. Good torque and mid range and driveabilty is awesom too.
ALso instead of the hotcam a good alternative would be the cc503, it has almost the same off seat duration, but more over .05 so you'll have simialar dirveability but more power, plus the cam only needs to be revved to 6200. Which is about the highest youd want to rev a stock bottom end. Ive been told the stock mains begine to chew themselves up past 6250.
