Default No Spark...?

I replaced my coil today and dont have spark still. When i pull #1 plug wire and put an extra spark plug in it on the header i get spark maybe once every 15 sec of cranking. Is there something besides the opti that would make it do this? I do know that my ICM is good. Would it be computer related in any way or should I just get a new opti?

if you are getting a spark at least i doubt its the opti(could be but doubtful). but if you get a spark then the other sparks have to be going somewhere check for loose connections to the primary/secondary of the coil and the coil wire itself. if thats all good ill see what i can dig up for you.

It only sparks every so often. Actually less than i stated up there^^^. Right as it sparks the motor acts like its about to start then the spark stops. Its like 1 spark.

car had a similar problem. Couple wires on my harness touched the header and burned threw and they grounded so my car wouldnt want to start. Maybe wiring?

ya check the wires all over the spark has to be going somewhere, if you are getting at least one spark i doubt its the opti. could be timing issue though or wires are shorting to ground and it just so happens that it sparks once in a while because it does not chose that path to ground.

I dont know to be honest. The car came with them when I bought them. They are MSDs. They were a little cracked in some places now that I think about it though.... How would that short out everything though? Its like I'm getting no spark at all. Once every so often. I took the opti off today and played with it a little to adjust the timing and stuck it back on and got good spark(which was a first) plugged everything back up and motor still didnt fire. Then took it off and checked it again and no spark. Im confused...
