Computer tuning?
I have heard that there is a program you can buy to tune a 1995 LT-1 does anyone on here know what it is and where you can get it? I am planning on turboing my TA and I am going to tune it myself, and I need to know what would be a good program to use. thanks for any help.

does any one have a file for a 95 ta 6spd that they have tuned that they would be willing to upload? just looking for some more power and possibly better fuel economy if possible. thanks.

i am mostly stock right now, just an exhaust an intake, and shaved heads for now, but I am just wanting to adjust a few paramaters and try to get a little better gas mileage, or set it up for a little more power. what is a logger, and why do i need one?

you need the logger to scan your car for things like spark knock and to adjust your fuel trims. then you will know what kind of changes to make to the bin. Don't get tunerpro RT because the real time controls don't work for your car.
you will also need cables to communicate with your car when you want to datalogg and reflash your computer. www.moates.net has some hardware you can use. but there are directions on the net to make your own also.
I ended up getting the autoprom because it can flash 94-95 lt1's and burn chips for older 85-93 firebirds/camaros.

www.aldlcables.com Thats what i got and it works perfect. No need for extra parts to decode the computer cause its built into the cable. It was around $60 and its the only cable you need. I logged and reflashed my computer with that one cable.

Not to jack the thread but I'm having a hard time getting Datamaster to work well with my car. It is an '89 Camaro with a '95 LT1 A4. I used Tunercat to reflash the PCM no problem, but when I try to take a log it doesn't seem to work. It connects, but when it records, the data is bad in 99% of the records. That is only 1 out of every 100 is of use. (which really isn't any good, is it?) Can anyone lend some assistance?
Here are specs for laptop:
Intel Celeron 600 MHz processor
184 MB RAM
Windows 98 OS
It has a USB port but no serial port. I am using a Belkin USB/serial adapter and the drivers are installed. I matched all the settings up with what the Datamaster manual suggests, and have the USB cable option selected.
Can anybody help me? I've been trying to figure this out for about the past year or so, bu no luck.
