2-300 Shot, What timing chain?
I have the lt-4 extreme duty chain now.....what are all you fast guys running? Im guessing double roller, but do you have to do some grinding to the timing cover?

I meant if you're changing your timing chain, which he's obviously doing. Plus anything that is adding more hp and tq, should be adding more stress, to every part in the car. Not saying that it wont work perfectly fine on the lt4 setup, just saying it's an extra piece of mind. I dont think I've heard of lt4s failing, but the cloyes is cheaper than the lt4 anyways if you're changing one...

nitrous certainly does have an affect on a chain. especially if there is alot of slack. im building this motor with top quality parts and im not going to let a timing chain snap and send everything out of whack. thanks for the replies everyone. looks like im going with a cloyes.

N2O definately adds more stress to parts,thats another reason why you should only spray when the RPM is above 3000!

bearings
timing chain
oil pump
that's another good reason to have main studs,main girdles,4-bolt mains,splayed caps and or block fill..........
