Wink

Always good for a laugh. The idea behind it is pretty cool. It's much like communism...looks good on paper but doesn't really work. I'd be tempted to try it just for fun if I could figure out how to set it up with the WS6 ram-air setup. His ad states that it produces 2-3psi of boost...I don't know much about superchargers, but I'm sure it doesn't work. I know a running joke in a lot of auto forums is the electronic superchargers like that one. But hey, it works on scooters so it must be good, right?

What if you put 3 together? That'd be good for 6-9psi of boost...damn...

you could just hook up a long hose to your intake and run it into your car and blow on it really hard when you stomp the gas and get the same effect.

Lol I cant believe that guy is still making a killing on those POS's.

A stock cube LT1 with a modified intake can breathe in over 700cfm at ~6k rpms. Since these do not actually compress incoming air, and just blow into the engine like a fan, to make any boost the blower has to at minimum keep up with the engines intake flow rate - and to make positive boost it must flow more. Increase the cubes and the air needed at WOT increases too. Wanna know the size of most common 800cfm+ electric blowers? 8" inlet/outlet, plus they draw around 2 amps.

That tiny little 3" thing on 12volts will not flow anywhere near enough to keep up with a bone stock LT1, and will actually hurt power since it just becomes a huge restriction after the filter.

Electric "superchargers" may work in some cases, but this is not one of them. A scooter and a z28 are two very different things

Yeah or run a long hose off the back of one of the exhaust pipes, bang instant turbo!

Fake as in the gains? Yes. It is sadly true they scam tons of people with it though...in reality it is just an in line resistor that you can get for literally a fraction of a cent in bulk from an electronics supply store that is connected to the signal wire of the IAT to trick the A/F into one of its pre-programmed values. Most just make the already rich LT1 even more rich

^^Yep at least. And the "special chip" will also make your m6 shift smoother.

I can't wait for Christmas! I put 2 superchargers and a chip on my list! I wonder if they have any stickers that will help with performance like the honda guys have?
