What Cam do I buy

What Cam do I buy I have a 97 Formula Firebird. Mods are as follows:
Jet hot LT Headers, MSD 6A ignition, CAI, MAF ends, TBB, Airfoil, and 1.6 RR.
Question 1: I want to buy a cam that will give me some good power but not compromise drivability. I want it to lobe a little bit but not lose gas mileage. I already have the LT4 Hotcam. Should I stick with this cam or buy another?
Question 2: Is PCMFORLESS a good company to get anything but the LT4 Hotcam tuning?
Question 3: Are the valve springs good enough to handle the LT4 hotcam or any other Cam?

This year the tune job they sent me was not so hot. My car would not even start. But how can you blam the guy. He did mine on just the info i gave him. Maybe we miscomunicated. Any ways all i had to to was put the stock file back in and then i tuned it from their.
1) I would keep the hot cam for what your asking for. The only other option would be to call comp cams and get a custom ground cam.

Re: What Cam do I buy Definately upgrade from stock springs, you don't want to waste time and money on other things and then something happens in the springs, as for the cam when you ask about driveability are you asking for fuel mileage or just being able to drive it on the street without having to idle at like 2000rpms??

I just called racenet.net and wanted to upgrade the springs for the lt4 cam kit that I am going to have installed. I called them and told them that I wanted to get the comp cam springs 986-16 to replace the lt4 hotcam springs. The guy said that I would need new retainers, and seats and bolts and all this other stuff. Is this true or can I just use the lt4 hotcam kit w/ the 1.6rr and the compcam 986-16's.

Re: What Cam do I buy marginally better yes, but effective for the mild cam. if you have plans on going bigger in the future, then just buy the cam, rocker arms and get your own set of springs and you will be fine.

Re: What Cam do I buy comp cams dual springs. i bought the cam package from racenet.net and its working great. I upgraded to ARP studs because they are a little longer and stronger, but the package is a great deal and very reliable
