im the guy taht did the ls1 swap and i actually have 0 dollars in my cam only motor/heads/ud pullie/computer and wire harness...ive got some money in my tranny and nitrous but tahts it...ive got less than 500in a 9 second car inclutcing the cost of the car

ls1 is the way to go for budget guys for 2 reason, 1 they can make 650 hp reliably on a stock bottom end...this means cam only plus a 200 shot will live...more than enough to get you 9's
2 weight

lt1 is better because cost of the motor is considerably cheaper
its much more fun to drive/idles better makes almost the same power but cant take nitous liek a ls1 can also a lt1 is limited to around 550hp...if you plan to n/a or nitrous lt1 suck...youll never make the power of an equal ls1...the inake does flow enough

if you want to boost lt1 is your answer...reliably and conisderably CHEAPER(stock heads with lt1 as opposed to aftermarket ls1 heads) make huge power numbers with boost, ls1 cant reliably keep heads on the block with stock castings over 1000 rw
lt1 theres basically no streetable limit

thts it in a nutshell...i only wish i could go back to a lt1 because it wasnt much slower (on motor) and it was ton more fun to drive...idles great, drives great, ect

I think you're wrong on "LT1 suck on N20".
Look at my time on my sig. First run ever on NITROUS. Over 15 mph over my n/a run (hotlapping to the N20 run).LT1 LOVES NITROUS!
Thats with STOCKBOTTOMEND.

ok well my car cam only went 11.90's on motor and a 125 shot 50 feet out went 10.60's...my ls1 runs 11.7x and 10.0 or better...im aware lt1 like nitrous but see how long a stock bottom end lasts on a 250 shot...then go to lt1 guys and see the HUGE number of them with 200 or more shot with years doing it

There are alot of 383 LT1s on here making weak numbers...But they say its all in times...

But a 383 LS1 vs a 383 LT1....The LS1 will blow it out of the water no way around it..

Our intakes suck

Don't call your **** unless you got slips on it..
If anything you'll spray your way to the Garage with Rods out the bottom before you get a 9.XXX pass..

Here is some info for ya bro..did all kinds of work. I have about $8k in the Engine and the Tranny, hand-built it. I have a 6.6l 402ci LSX/L92 Stroker that is doing very well, killed a C6 Z06 with it already..

are you ******* crazy? i have over 20 bottles of 200 shot through a stock motor!
bring your POS big bad stroker down here and ill drag your *** on 1 stage....ive got slips to proove it...ive gone 6.60 in the 1/8 mine on 1 stage
with more mph then you could imagine...if it wasnt for a damn 10bolt id have a 5 sec pass on a dam stock motor for you to cry about....
dont be mad youve got over 8k in a motor alone and ive got about half that in my whole car and its 10 times faster than you...ive been there done that

how about this PM Robert56 and ask him wheat a stock bottom end will hold with nitours...he has stock manifolds stock everything but a cai drag radials and a 250 shot and went 10.8
which is also faster then youve been...once you get a 10 second pass post it up...then you can talk a little crap...but with guys with STOCK BOLT ON ONLY CARS faster then you and in the 10's im not impressed with your big bad stroker....

also dont post videos of you spinning street tires from a 60 punch dooesnt impress me either....put some real tires on it like mickey thompson drag radials and go blow them off from 60mph ill be impressed...if you want ill post a vid of me doing it....

also ive killed FORGED 427 HAND PORTED HEADS, CUSTOM GRIND CAM, 2007 z06 with a 150 shot...from a 45 punch...stock z06 are weak for a big bad built 402, hell i drug one with a stock wittle tiny 346 and an auto from a roll

Lt4 stuff is getting to be very rare and for the money and price you can have your stockers ported, or go with a aftermarket head like AFRs or trickflows etc

Then you have to get the lt4 intake blah blah, 425hp bolton package from GM was a BUNCH OF BS.

All I said was post them 9.XXX 1/4 Mile Slips there champ..

You can be all big n bad with your car all you want..anyone can SPRAY their way to victory..that is the ***** way in my opinion. You will need that Spray to drag my ***..all motor ain't goin to do it..
Besides..I could of gone way bigger with many things..and definately faster..but I'm happy where I'm at for now.

And yes, that is just my opinion about N20..everyone it entitled to theirs.
I know some of you here use it too, but you don't go being dip ***** and challenging strictly all-motor cars with it..

No offense to you dedicated Bracket guys..you are doin it for Competition..even then there are all-motor Indexes as well.

We can sit here all night and play who's E-dick is bigger than who's there Daniel..but in the end when the mighty bottle comes off..you are hung like a fruit fly in a snow storm..
