For the money spent on needed parts,LSX motor, and time, I think you'd be better off buying the whole LS1 car.

i dont like how they look... i like how the LT1 camaro looks better than a LS1 camaro... and while i do like the looks of the LS1 T/A, i not comfortable in them and dont like thier interiors

i dont see the big deal, if you fish around and wait it out until you find the parts at a good deal, why not swap? i love my LT1 dont get me wrong, but the aftermarket for the LSx is endless. as far as i know, harness, ecm, k-member and a few other odds and ends.

if u got the money i guess u can do anything, my friend spent a *** load on the swap and he got lucky and bought a ls1 car that had every thing he needed sold the roller and still was out alot of money!! i like both ls1 and lt1, i got my lt1 car for 1000 with a new motor and new tranny the guy didnt have the 02 sensors hooked up and couldnt get the car to idle and sold it to me i knew what was wrong the whole time so i got a good deal. If it would have been a ls1 i wud have done the same thing, even though i dont know jack about them lol!! i do know the ls1 is a better motor and flows better from the factory, but lt1 is cheap and i see them beat ls1 all the time u just got to put ur money in the right place. My friend did say he wish he still had the lt1 after all he had in the ls1 it was only a tenth faster and like 4 more hp with the same set up cam only, bolt ons and a good tune. Now he has way more n20 on the ls1 to lol!!! and has more of a issue hooking up.

So you have a 383 stroker and you want to swap to an LSX? Just for fun or not happy with the LTX?

not happy.... i got the car built, but the compression is a mystery, and to find that out i have to tear into the motor, so i cant throw on a blower to satisfy me... i not a big fan of nos... so i was looking at options because if i have to tear into the 383 to figure out the compression maybe i just go a diff route, idk.. i mean its quick right now, but i want more, i getting a diff DD in a week so now i can go crazy with the camaro cuz its wont have DD duty anymore

a lot of my posts are me thinking out loud, so some may not make sense... i just try to look at all angles before i make a decision... i may just stick with the 383, idk yet, first i getting my rear end in soon, then i can make the move on the motor, but i like to plan things out ahead of time and shop around as i call it
