OP you got your answers, but here's another one. If you have no time, why don't you just call the best local speedshop, and ask them.

 

What mods are done to the car already? do have at least a full exhaust system & intake? do u care about smog? if you want a friendly DD build than go with a LE1 set up with a custom cam thats about $1,200... Do u want a your intake ported? thats another $200 from llyod.. u still need to buy push rods $120 i also suggested some roller rockers and studs $340 and depending if you want SA or NSA if you get NSA rockers than you'll need guide plates $20... lifters should be fine just make sure there checked but that can be pricey if needed to be replaced.. maybe replace the opti since the engine is going to be out $300. this is not including gaskets and fluids.. next is a tune for sure. i say a little under 3k in parts for the top end ill just do a basic rebuild in the short block thats just with pistons and rings.. maybe another $700.. hopefully you find a shop that charges labor at a decent price your total in parts is going to be around 4k and u still need to have the blocked cleaned thats just an estimate... good luck
