Just a thought but you wouldn't mind throwing some extra bosses on the intake manifold for some direct port action that would be great. But keep us updated on the manifold I am very interested in it and wouldn't mind paying to guinea pig it.

Did I mention my 396 is ~500hp plus a nitrous plate to go 100/150 more? (PICK ME!!!)

You KNOW you need someone with displacement and heads that can see benefits from an intake like this... stock or slightly ported applications won't figure the cost is worth 10hp in gains. I'm also not convinced any mild to moderate turbo/blower guys need this either...

NA/nitrous guys would LOVE a better flowing intake though... especially if it had a nice boss for a anti-backfire valve, and the rear distributor hole pre-drilled and capped off (for easy distributor conversion ).

Whatever the form... please double the plenum size.

Right here too! Hopefully you will create an LT4 style version. I have a 396 LT4 with race prepared AFR 195's, huge hydraulic cam, and an OEM LT4 intake that is not able to keep up.

I totally agree.....that is the reason I went with the single plane, as it is currently the only alternative to a sheet metal intake.

I had maxed out my old combo (ported LT1 castings and ported Lt1 intake)...My new combo needed a better flowing intake to get the best results.

^^Now thats just pure sex

How much are you guys paying to convert a single plane gen 1 intake to an LT1? Don't have to be exact, just a ballpark figure. Please send me a pm if you don't to post it up.

Actually, he made the thread early October of last year. A prototype was supposed to be ready by now.....check it out:

I've learned not to get my hopes up over claims like these. I'll believe something when there are pics posted. I mean....design the thing, build it, take pics, THEN post about it. Talk is cheap, as they say.

+1 for the single plain

Unless the test mule has better heads under it you won't see much gains out of the intake in back to back testing.
