Default Accel Fuel Injectors

I need new injectors and am looking at the Accel 30lb. (Summit Part# ACC-150830). They seem to be a lot cheaper than the others. Has anyone here used these and what is your opinion of them?

They are a lot cheaper because generally they are of lower quality. Lots of people have had issues with them. I have heard the design was revised, but I still think there are better choices.

There is probably a good reason they're cheaper. Personally, I wouldn't put any Accel components on my car.

Do you have a part number for these? I guess I never realized you could use ford injectors in an LT1.

Lots of people use the svo injectors. They are a good part. Not really any harder or easier to tune though.

Actually, they now are now made by Bosch, the same people that make the Ford SVO injectors we have all used for years. Early versions weren't Bosch, and were junk.

I have used the ford and the accel injectors both, had no problem at all with the ford injectors installed, tuned and ran perfect, the accel on the other hand when I installed them, I never could get them tuned in right, they always either over fueled, or under fueled, I guess I learned the hard way. Could have been a one type fluke, but I wouldn't trust them again.

If they were solid yellow in color, they were the old junk version. If they were the newer Bosch units, your problem was the tuner. Be aware, they aren't rated exactly the same as the Ford injectors.

OK that answers my question. Thanks Guys. But now I have a new one. All these injector sets I've looked at are in the $300 range except for Holley. They are over $600. What's so special about Holley ... are they made of gold?!

Dunno. Walbro fuel pumps with a holley label on 'em cost more too.
