Cool MSD ignition system.

I just bought a new MSD digital 6 ignition box and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of were to put it on the car? Pics? Thanks.

Yea I could tell a previous owner had used an MSD box in my car since that's where he put it. There's some flat orange RTV still there. I assume that was 2 fold: To help keep it in place since only 2 bolts are able to be put in, and to keep down vibration from bouncing around due to only having 2 bolts in place

I'd recommend getting the MSD cap and rotor while you're doing this (unless you just replaced the cap and rotor with a AC Delco one, then you should be fine), since there's more voltage going through the Opti, and CAN on rare occasion kill them :S I don't mean to frighten you, I just don't want you to be a victim of the gremlins. Also according to some members here, the stock coil puts out more in the higher RPMs than the Blaster coil, but the trade off is the low RPMs :\

EDIT: Since I can't see what you were pointing at TwoFast... I edited it lol

Relocate the battery to the trunk then mount the MSD box where the battery was - that's what I did - Problem solved!

Mounting right next to the fuse block is the best. IMHO

Here is mine, you can still reach all the dials with the raditor cover on.

Not that it matters since my RMS has the PCM right there, but I put mine atop of it

The spot where I can see where one was, is RIGHT where Sleepers is. Wonder if GM did that intentionally lol
