Yup just goes right in. There is just 4 bolts that hold the rear u joint to the rearend yoke, take those off then slide the driveshaft out. You might as well put some new ujoints on.

Bolts right in. Hopefully you don't have any serious plans for the car since LS1 driveshafts are weak and are known for breaking.

Thanks bro..
I say I haven't broken mine yet cause all it does is spin..wait till it hooks up and we will see what happens.

10 years from now is a long time..the car will most likely be more nastier..

What are some good alternatives to the LS1 driveshaft for around the same price? I know Lingenfelter makes one, and I guess Denny's may also be a good option. A new LS1 driveshaft seems to be just over 300 bucks. I would like to replace mine because my car used to vibrate like a **** at higher speeds. If I'm going to pay 300 bucks, I might as well try to get the best shaft for the money.

if your going to buy an ls1 driveshaft, search the for sale section here. theres usually a couple on there for $100. DO NOT PAY $300 FOR AN LS1 DRIVESHAFT!!!! if you are going to spend that kind of money go here www.carolinadriveline.com, they built me a nasty 3" chromoly steel driveshaft with some nasty looking u-joints for like $225 and it will never break.
