I have a poly trans mount.....I went old school on the motor and have it chained down. It's an A4, so not sure about your question. I do think I feel more driveline vibes with the poly mt. But I use a 3600 stall and it shifts hard so I need a good hard trans mount. Ripped the stock one right in half. I am very interested in how the LT4 hotcam does for you. Thats what I have planned for mine! Let me know. Thanks Ric

@!$#%@# IM SOO frustrated with this, okay so getting them on was no big deal because my car is all apart already but i've only got the passenger side half done... ok my question is SHOULDN'T THE POLY MOUNT be TIGHT in between the clamshells?? I bought energy suspension ones from Autozone, and right now i have everything on but the poly does not seem tight in between the clamshells, if anything it seems really loose like the stock rubber was tighter.. WTF!!!!!!!!!

poly mounts are fine, you'll break bellhousings when you use solid steel on 1 and something other than solid on the other...any combination of poly/rubber or all poly/all rubber is fine, just dont mix something that gives with a steel mount

ya i know man, but i have a new problem if you look at my last 2 posts
the poly mounts i bought are loose in between the clamshells, im worried that when i install them the engine is going to move even more than before, it's weird they're energy suspension and i know there's supposed to be some sort of clamping going on there in between the clamshells but mine has nothing. it actually wiggles in the clamshell even if the clamshells are compressed all the way. so WTF its really frustrating.

I've decided im ditching these POS energy suspension junkers, what a joke of a polyurethane mount.
What brand should i go with guys? I was looking at prothane from Jeg's $72.99 for both engine mounts and tranny mount what do you think?
