I ran a lot of low 11 second passes with a cam and a 150 shot. I would not worry about spraying a 150 shot wet or dry the load on the crank is the same. I would check the air fuel ratio with a wideband either way. I have personal pushed a fair amount of nitrous thru a stock short block. Lets face it if the motor has loose bearings you will have problems but these motors can take bigger shots if the AFR is right and you are pulling the right amount of timing for the shot.

Lock at the time in the sig. That was with tranny and converter issues.

I know a guy that ran a 175 shot on his stock long block for a LONG time. He had 13X,000 miles also. It was a weekend strip/street car so he wasn't worried about long life but he couldn't kill it.

He ended up putting a built 383 stroker in it after his electric water pump went out and blew a head gasket.

I'd say a 100 shot on stock timing with the right plugs from a wet kit but you may want a tune.

I have a complete LT1 wet kit I may part with for around 750$. Comes with everything, kit, bottle heater, purge, switch panel, brackets, fuel pump ect ect.

A tune will do it. I have a obd1 cable and a flash program so all i do is get a tune from Ion@madz28.com with how much i want retarded and flash my computer. I have a tune with 1-2-3 deg. retard so i have all my ends covered for whatever shot i run. Personally i like that better so the actual computer is retarded and im not relying on a aftermarket piece for it. Or you can get a MSD box with a retard box for it.

A Mallory 685 here. I've pulled up to 10* while spraying too.

Get carried away with stock ring gap and it can close up and rip pieces of the top off the piston.
