What does this actually tune?My friend has one that will work for my car and I just have an exhaust done so I was wondering if it would be worth using on my car or not.If it would be worth using, could you tell me what I could do?Thanks.

Since you aren't paying for it what can it hurt to try? You can always go back to the stock settings if you dont like the results.

I used it on my old LT1 over ten years ago...I noticed an instant sotp gain but I also saw my mpg drop...At the track I didnt notice much if anything...though I didnt plan to, I just bought it for my 373's like alot of people did back then...Theres many more options these days though.

You can do it if you want, but it sure as hell is not going to lower your ET.

If it's free or super cheap it comes in handy for gear changes, changing shift points and stuff like that. I have one and don't use the tuning option. I saw a mustang pick up .3 by going back to the stock tune.

Wow! Thanks for the heads up, I actually thought them units did something useful, I guess a dyno tune would be more beneficial then.

I use on for a while and wish I would have spent my money on something else. I think the only good thing they can do is correct your speedometer for gear/tire changes and they also bring your cooling fan temperatures on earlier helping the motor to run cooler. Oh. I set the speed limiter on mine as low as it would go when I let my nephew borrow the car!

I use to have one back when my car was a DD. Used it mainly for the gear swap and playing around w/ the shift points. And also to program the fans to come on sooner w/ a colder t-stat(160 degree). That was about it, for $300---whata waste!

not a crap load.I go to college right and drive my car year round.I just want to have a decent e.t and still have driveability.(gas mileage drive to school everyday). So I dont really want to go with headers right now.So do you think the UD pulley kit would be a worth buying.

I say get a CAI. It would net you better gains. If you dont have the money to buy new, you can find a used one here or cz28.com for cheap.
