catback or true duals
Alright, I'm going to take porksodas advice for now with my high miles and redo my bolt ons. . .question is should i go LTs ory catback or LTs X and TDs?
Another question is what are your opinions on the diffrent catbacks
i thought about Pacesetters ory into a hooker catback
but if you have any other opinions. . . .i just dont want it to sound like a truck and that's my biggest concern. . .
I heard a pacesetter dr gas x into a thunder Bullitt and that was pretty nice . . . .
just give me your opinions and i guess it's a battle between catback and TDs!

i would say true duals definitely, if it was easier to fabricate all the way back. LTs with an ORY will do just as nicely though. do a search on the different catbacks and go on LS1sounds.com so hear them. many people like the hookers, magnaflows, corsas, spiral flows and SLP LMs. however, i think the popular vote would be the GMMGs (i wouldve gone that route if they weren't so expensive).

True duals. PaceSetter LT's x-pipe and magnaflow single chamber mufflers over the axle and out the rear... Thats what I'm fixing to do as soon as my tax return comes back...

I chose the ORY and Catback. A friend of mine has a 600 hp WS6 and is running the 4" mufflex catback. I like the sound of it and you dont loose alot of ground clearance. I recently picked up the 4" system myself. Just have to get it installed. I must say its def. a badass peice. Not to mention tru duals are stupid loud!

True duals with Borla XR-1's or any Flowmaster muffler. People may hate that Flowmasters don't flow as well as others, but, they do usually sound the best. I think, when I go with LT's and true duals, I'm going to go with some Flowmaster super 40 series mufflers. Every single vehicle I've ever heard with a 40 or super 40 muffler on it, has sounded damn good.

I guess I'm the oddball, I prefer the catback.
Specifically, I like Hooker's Aerochamber.
There's a clip of my car at the track in my sig.
That's a 3" Aerocamber catback behind Hooker LTs and ORY

I thought h pipes were the way to go so you didn't lose compression/keep the compression equal? Please correct me if I am wrong, because I was thinking of doing this set up on my 95 Z28 with hooker super competition long with true dual...

basically in a nutshell h pipes are better for sound and x pipes are better for performance. X pipe helps scavenging which will help pull the exhaust away from the motor which will create more power...You have to remember exhaust isnt just one continual stream of air. It is pulses of air. Bare with me as it's kind of hard to describe it with words but for example when you are in the shower and the water is running your shower curtain will want to "float" towards the running water in your shower and that is because the moving water causes the air pressure to be lower around it. Same concept happens w/ the x pipe. When a pulse of air crosses the x pipe it creates low air pressure which will pull the exhaust gases from the other side of the exhaust towards the x pipe and when that crosses it will pull air from the other side, etc...

Another vote for true duals. I recently went that route and will never look back. I used the universal X-pipe kit from Jegs and Sweet Thunder 18" chambered mufflers. The sound is pure sex...
