Default What do I need to get in the mid 13s?

What do I need to get in the mid 13s 13.4 13.5 13.6 area?I have order a CAI 3.73, thermostat, and TB Bypass.I know 13s are great but I drve my car year round and thats why I am wanting the mid 13s.I have a flowmaster muffler and didnt know if that would hurt my time since they do flow very well.I dont really what to do a cam, stall, or headers yet. Thanks

As long as your car is in good running condition, you should have mid 13's now.

He means with very few mods you can run mid 13's, and cai/3.73s should get you pretty close to your goal (sticky tires will get you right on target). Unless you're vertically challenged like some of us.

Larger diameter exhaust complete cat-back. 3.42/3.73 gear. Your CAI. Remove your front swaybar, it will not hurt driveablity. An adjustable torque arm would be very helpful to plant most tires, but sticky tires are needed. And as stated above, the car must be in prime running condition.
A 12 bolt with 3.73/4.10's is a great first mod. It will allow you to use slicks. Hooking and getting going will put ANY good running stock LT1 in the mid 13's. All of this together can get above 20mpg(3.73's) and 12's.

Once you install the mods you just ordered you should be there as long as you have a decent tire

What he's saying is a stock LT1 has enough power for mid 13s already. You just need traction.

I would look into getting a dynot tune once you have all those parts on your car. Make sure you have some DRs so you can pull a good 60'.

Good call on the DR. I will be ordering some of those.Ok I know this is off the topic ,but is there anyway to lower just the front of my car because I have 16in 5 star wheels and I like them. I am wanting to run a shorter tire up front but the it will look dumb with the gap. I am going to run 255-50 (26.1) in the backa nd 225-50 (24.9) in the front.I dont want to lower the whole car just a racked look to it.

Ditch the Flowmaster for SLP (Loudmouth or other) or Magnaflow muffler. I don't know if our cars have 3" from cat-back but if not, go see what a muffler shop could set you up with that for. Make sure it's mandrel bent, otherwise it's no better than stock really.

Keep in mind, you could have everything to run 13 flat, but if you don't know how to drive, you won't make that. Some people have ran 13.6 on a fully stock car, but then again some LT1s are "freaks" and just do great in the 1/4 haha
