That is movin'! I think there was some good driving besides the crazy low DA.

Edit: I saw you're looking for a T-56 for the swap, but I misread it at first and was thinking your car's a manual. Is that the case?

Gatorhead 12's bone stock? i doubt it....
Stock motor yes........gears and a stall yes......suspension and DR's yes.....exhaust yes....

Depends on the humidity, track prep and temperature. They run in a stock class and thats a normal time for them anywhere from 12.8-13.5 is normal. I can't tell you why there is almost 1 second of variance betwen what one runs and what the other runs, maybe they have seated their rings better, driver mods, less miles on the chasis IDK jsut stating that you can't say it can't be done because it has and now the track is open on a regular basis lol.
I will tell you that the lower number the guy has a 4k stall so...........but the motor is still stock!

this is my opinion on the LTX LSX topic....if you only have $1,000 to spend an LSX will run stronger than the LTX engine all day long.....but once you have done everything to it, heads, cam, tuning and all the LTX engine will be pretty close to what the LSX can do...... all i know is i can outrun many LSX cars with the same if not more done with my built LT1 at the drag strip or street......

My opinion is you won't have $1000 to spend because to LS1 cost more from the start. Everyone knows that the LS1 makes more initial power, so it's no doubt that it make more full bolt on vs full bolt on. If you had a set budget of $10K and wanted a strong runner, I say buy a nice, low mileage LT1 and mod it and not a high mileage LS1 and kill the budget. I agree that once you're inside the engine, it's anyone's game.
BUT, go do a search on cam only LS1s and you will see how they make as much and even more hp than H/C LT1s, but see how they little they make after they add aftermarket heads to an LS1. Sure, they still make more hp OVERALL than the H/C LT1s. But they won't gain as much overall from a heads swap and that's because they flow 230 cfm from the factory, have bigger valves from the factory, and a 15* valve angle from the factory. All of which is what gives the LS1 the factory, initial advantage. You can only port the LSX heads so much...LOL But it doesn't change the fact that you will spend more in the long run.

^^^
All of which is why I still prefer a bolt on LT1. Run low 12s in a stock internal N/A LT1 and a healthy budget, and watch the other guys blow their money to do the same in a car 2-3 times the price when they didn't have to.

Sorry. End of workweek rant off. LOL

My cousin ran again on wensday night and pulled a 13.2 @ 107mph with a 2.1 60ft.Just K&N intake,no cat, and a borla catback. The car has over 100K miles also.He could have just got a factory freak if others are running a good bit slower with more mods?
