If your heart desires building an LT1 then more power to you. I had an LS1, sold it, and bought an LT1 a few years later. My LT1 is insane compared to the two LS1's I've had. When people find out that I had an LS1, they look at me with the "I'm sorry" look on his/her face like it was a bad decision on my part. Just let it go in one ear and out the other when an LS1 owner talks down to you. Show them your tail lights and I'm sure it'll shut them up. Always works for me. Good luck with the build!
