Wow, I am surprised about Lazer, I met Bill Metzger (owner of Lazer) a few years back, then he passed away but his company still went on, We have used a few of his cams and they are great, Bill was hardcore and like very tight lobes centers i.e. 106-108 but they made for a few bad *** LT1's. I also went to check out the website and stated, they are not there anymore....
Yea, the one I have is on a 108lsa,should chop pretty good in a 355. Any suggestions on valvesprings since your familiar with them?

I think you are going to have to call a SERIOUS shop and talk to them with detailed cam specs.
None of the common springs are going to do the trick. My guess you are going to be looking at longer valves and something like Isky ToolRoom, Manley Nextek etc. meaning $4-500 springs not the cheap stuff most of us tun.

Yup, Like 96 says, all manufactures have different ramp rates for their design on the camshafts, this plays an important part on the type of spring needed for specific open and close pressures. Of course you can call another cam company and get in the ball park but it is not like having a cam and spring combo from the same company...I can say one thing, Do not put LT4 valve springs like a lot of people suggest, It WILL take a very good spring.

Duration @.020 is 288 on the intake and 296 on the exaust. At .050 the duration 254/261 on a 108lsa. Lope lift is .424 on the intake and exaust and the gross lift is 636 on both sides.

What kind of heads are you running? As you will have limitations on the max spring OD and the depth that you can cut the spring pockets as well. You will more than likely be looking at 350-400 lbs. of seat pressure valve spring to be able to handle the lobe as it closes the valve properly, which means at least a 1.55" OD valve spring.

The head for right now will be stock ported. Can the stock heads be machined enough for that kind of OD spring?.

I'll have to find my book at the shop, but I don't think that they will. I had some 1.46" OD springs on my 97' bird 4 yrs ago and they overlap into the head bolt pocket, on your two end bolts & the very center head bolt. I had to take the valve springs off to TQ my head studs and then re-assemble them on the motor. I was useing the 6 point nut version, but you would have a little more room if you used a 12 point nut.
