my buddy has longtubes ls1 lid 3.23 and 3200 stall went
8.1 on motor(1/8)
7.3 with me petaling it on a safe 150 shot

prolly a mid 11 on that pass...get the 60 down it would go 11.20's...then all it needs is more gear/spray/stall and less weight...id guess the rocrd be about a 10.6

I've gone 12.24@4500 DA with some bald *** sportman pros 1.89 60"... Stock internal with slowmaster exhaust, stock manifolds, and a TNT 75 wet shot of nitrous... This year will be a whole other ball park... Gone all out with forged internals, and a TC76 on a log kit. Shooting for something fast no telling yet. As I have got a ways to go to finish my build. But I want to see how driving a turbo car with a 6 speed transmission before I even consider an automatic.

forged internals would not count for this record, but it sounds like a badass build my friend!

Okay I might be able to shed some light on this topic. Back in like 1999 or so I ran 11.40@122 with completely stock internals. 6 speed car, good clutch slicks, 9" rear, 150 dry shot. stock throttle body, stock roller rockers, etc... valve covers had never been off the car. I thought I had the fastest LT1 with stock internals but this was before LS1tech was huge and we had access to all this info. Supposedly there was a guy named Mike (can't remember the last name) that had all the same mods as me but he stripped his car down much lighter. It was a black Z with draglites, one racing seat, and a big *** nitrous bottle where the passenger seat was supposed to be. Well he strapped a 250 shot on his stock internal LT1 and supposedly ran a 10.80 sumthing.... The car's motor expired shortly after that cause I think he attempted to do it again..... Terry Burger (don't know if he's still on here) would probably know who i'm talking about since we were all shooting for the record at about the same time....

I'd say for sure that if you run a 10.80 with stock internals you can safely say you have the record... but it'll have to be faster than 11.0 cause Frans already done that and I went 11.40 and could have gone faster with more spray....

I'll have the weight to do it. The only problem is I have a mostly stock suspension, a stock trans, stall, and rear end. I don't expect them to live too long. I already have a 4L80e lined up that I'll build once the stocker dies. Once that stuff is changed out we'll see what it can do.

Well there also has to be some "statute of limitations" on a record. I feel that if the car blew up and hasn't run for 9 years (as in the case of the phantom 10.80 by Mike sumthing) then it's no longer much of a record.... If you run 10.8x and nobody currently actively running (or at least more than 2 years old) then you are the record holder.... my .02 at least

^ I'm thinking the same thing. That's always why you have to back up a run in most series to have a record. It gets rid of fluke runs and technical failures.

Then you would have lost money. Because techniqually you said:

The LS1 F-body recently set a new stock internals record of 10.6 @ 122 and that's with no power adder at all.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/drag-racing-results/879218-new-stock-internals-record-10-685-122-91-a.html

I'm not sure what the stock internal + N20 record is for the LS1 but I bet it's in the 9's or real close to it.
