Manual vs. Auto

I was just wondering between my 94 formula (manual) and a friends 96 formula (automatic) which one is faster? the 94 has a cutout and coolant bypass, the 96 has magnaflow exhaust (he removed the muffler so it is just the pipe) and an intake elbow, otherwise both cars are stock. Just kind of curious which one you guys think will be faster.

i think they would be dead on and a it would come down to the drivers. but from a dig probaby the auto. and from a roll the manual. but i think it would be a really close race.

Most people are not good enough drivers, to launch a m6 well enough to beat a a4 from a dig.

This is true. I've had my car for a while and still can't launch for ****. I don't practice all that much, but the idea is there.

It's a Drivers Race..like said above a good driver with the M6 will pull the Auto.. but I'm puttin money on the Auto Car here..

The thing that sucks about an A4 IMO is, you have to get the thing customized to make it worth while if you wanna race it. After driving a stock A4 vs a custom is night and day. I couldn't imagine going back to stock..that would suck big time!

Its just a matter of preference in my opinion. I prefer my M6 while other prefer their auto, i think autos a boring to drive on a nice curvy road, so i stick with my M6

I have both. My stalled a4 gets off the line great but its just not as fun as my m6. Once I get my 9inch & wrinkle walls for my m6, the a4 guys are gonna have a hard time with me in the 60ft
