Default New Temp sensor and spark plug question.

OK so. I bought a new temp sensor and a new harness for it. Both of these have 2 connections (sensor is 2-prong, harness is 2-wire). But I just looked on my old harness and it's only 1-wire even though the sensor is 2-prong. My question is, should I just connect both wires together and sauter them to the old single connection or what? On the old harness the sideways prong was the only one getting signal while the other just sat nil inside the plastic harness casing. Help?

Also. I want to order some spark plugs and would like to get some NGK TR-55's, my car is bolt-on only with the possibility of a 100-shot in the near future. I won't run spray often at all so I just need some good plugs, will these do? I want to order them from Summit, but I don't know what size they are and all that jazz so I can't place my ebay order Help?

IIRC, the guys with N20 run TR-6's

Which temp sensor did you buy? Are you looking to replace coolant temp sensor in the head?

If your going to be spraying you want plugs 1 step cooler than stock so you want the NGK TR6's. The TR55's are at the stock heat range. That will reduce the chance of detonation.

You bought the one for the water pump, but are looking at the one in the head, for ONLY the gauge. The one for the water pump is for the computer (and fans, which is controlled by the computer). The gauge IS a 2 slot plug (like a T if I remember), but 1 wire.

No I bought the one for the driver's side head. Or so I thought. Well What do I do now then? Can I just wire in one wire from the new unit into the old harness, or should I wire in both to the same one-wire? Is one a ground and one a power or are they both power?

Take it back and tell them you need the one for the Gauge.

there is a temp sensor in the passengers? i though it was only the one in the water pump and the one on the drivers side. Are you sure you are not confused with the knock sensor?

Ugh. I can't do that. I bought it from Summit like a year ago when I had money for this project... It looks almost exactly like the one for the driver's side head too. maybe I just bought the wrong harness? Dunno, if I had the part number maybe I could work something out with Summit.

They're cheap, just goto the store. Probably $10 for the wire too (why you need to replace that, I don't know)
