P.S. Ellis my dad said he stubbed his toe on the bottles you left in front of our door lol

LOL I knew he would take care of them for me.

Taners Beer was the best by far! Glad you made it home safe and sound Taner!

My car would have been competeitive. Just no way to get it there in time. We barely got it to the dyno last weekend after getting ti back from paint two days before that. All you guys that think you could have done better should have got off your ***'s and showed up

I had a great time and met ALOT of great people. We will definately be comeing back. And I plan on being faster by the time I get there

in all those pics, only two cars pulled both front wheels. mine and the white one.it was a awesome day with finally some good weather.i went to ozark international raceway for the midnite drags. first pass was faster than any of my passes at kcir, and second pass the throttle cable broke, and the water pump took a dump. cant wait till next year.probably gonna go from exteme street to outlaw with my new setup.

I am not taking away from Brady at all. He's a smart guy, that won't give up easily. I am refering to all the hype that was thrown into all the fourms. Words are just that, words, without proof to back it up. I know the car will run better , thanks to Brandy not you or "Mr. TB". Like I said though, I did expect more.

Got home at 2:00am this morning!

Just would like to thank everyone who came out to race and support the event. The event went very well. Turnout was good considering the cold and wet weather in the morning. It pushed the schedule behind but everyone stepped up to the plate and hot-lapped when needed.

I enjoyed meeting everyone. Like mentioned it was nice to put some faces to names. You all did great and I am proud of each of you.

Looking forward to next year!

btw..............for those asking...........the heavy metal (used for balancing) in my crank decided to work its way out while I was on the dyno last week. The engine is fine but the weight started to hit the inside of the block ever so slightly. We shut if off in time so it did not hurt anything. Only problem is to fix it you have to pull and dissasemble the engine, weld the metal, re-assemble and install. Just could not get that done in a week. Sucks bad because the car was running better than it ever has!

Never heard of that problem before, but such are the joys of speed right? Always finding new ways to break stuff.
Glad you caught it before all hell broke loose.

double bulbing is when one guy full stages before you pre stage. In most cases the starter will not activate autostart in this case he will back the rookie out and tell him to try again

It was discussed in the driver's meeting that that would not be the case.

It's too bad I couldn't make the call for the first round of 6sp! There were only 3 cars qualified in that class.

They said at the drivers meeting that double bulbing is ok?

I understand that some leniency during staging would be okay. At any other event, the double bulber would be called back.

Not specifically. But they did say that historically the track does not enforce courtesy staging. They use the autostart function. They even described what to do if you happen to get double bulbed. Just don't pre-stage if you are not ready. Once the pre-stage is lit (three bulbs lit on the tree), you have 10 seconds to stage or you redlight. They even demonstrated it using the tree for anyone that didn't understand.

I didn't see this run in particular... maybe Tanner was prestaged first, then the other guy rolled in both beams, I don't know. I'm just stating what was explained in the driver's meeting before the race.

Thanks guys for an AWESOME event. We had a blast. I'm glad I finally got to meet you guys in person. We didn't get back home until about 2am

The race went great & the after party was a blast as well. Hey Ellis, did you get the after party on tape?

I have a ton of pics & vids. I'll get off the camera later today & post them up.

Thanks again guys.

I addressed this issue at the driver's meeting. And, we had a “gentlemen’s agreement” between the drivers to use courtesy staging during the shoot-out. So, those who both “pre-staged” and then “staged” (double-bulbed the tree) before the other driver pre-staged “did not” follow the agreement for this event.

What KCIR typically uses (no enforcement of courtesy staging) with auto-start, is a departure from what I’ve seen at most tracks around the country. Again, most tracks enforce courtesy-staging and will back people out if they double-bulb someone. Either through intent, mistake, or just driver stupidly.

That is fucked up if he double bulbed you if you guys decided that courtesy staging would be the rule of the race.... That doesn't fly at both tracks I run at.....

And I feel really bad about not being able to make the event due to my tranny problems... I'm just glad we hurt it on the dyno here in california and I didn't drive all the way out there only to lose 2nd in KC and have to drive all the way back home with nada.... I will make the event next year and it gives me time to work out all the bugs with my combo since the motor was just freshly fired mere weeks ago... I'm also contemplating a switch to a powerglide in the next couple of months...

Funny thing is looking at the pics I took a look at Taners car... For years Taner's car and my car have been spitting images of each other besides his SS hood compared to my stocker (that has since been replaced with a 6" Sunoco cowl induction).... So to seperate my car from taners I went out and bought some beautiful Bogart D10's......

Well looking at the pics Taner either stole my car for this weekend without noticing it or he bought some Bogart D10's... BASTARD!!!!!

He double bulbed on accident, Dave said he was going to back out until Taner hurried up and set the beam. They raced, He was going to appollogize to Taner until Taner threw a fit on the return road fliping him off and acting like a child.

Just for the record at the next one, Make sure all the drivers make it to the meeting. There was several guys who didn't hear because of the crappy PA system.
