I bought new tires and I i got a short tire for the front 225/50/16 and a 255/50/16 in the rear.the back looks real good but the front just needs to be lowered about an inch or so.Anyone have any ideas on what to do or if there is anything i can do.

Width/Sidewall (hight)R<Rim size>

So 225 is not as wide, not shorter. Our cars are hiked in the back more anyways. People lower the back before the front.

Theres a few things you could do such as cut the front springs, buy springs just for the front, get some sort of adjustable shocks like koni's etc. etc...

true that it is not as wide, but a 225/50/16 is shorter than a 255/50/16. about an inch shorter.

That, I didn't know. Interesting. And it's actually OVER an inch according to this calculator. 26.03 for the 255 and 24.85 for the 225.

Must be why my speedo is now off again when I changed gears (which oddly made it correct with 245s) and put on my 255 DRs.

shocks dont change ride height at all. all they do is change dampening characteristics

Making the shock shorter (with an adjustable) would lower it, but I would imagine that might be hard on the shock.

So you are saying buy a shock that is too short for the car. if so that shock would just get destroyed from bottoming the shock out over every bump.

P.S. the adjustment on an adjustable shock only does the dampening not the extension height of the shock.

My bad, I'm thinking of a Coil Over conversion kit with the big *** adjustable nut on the outside.
