How would I do against a 95 katana 600 ?
hey guys my buddy just bought a 1995 suzuki katana 600, 86 horsepower, 450lbs, its not a race bike but is pretty quick, its deffinitely not close to as fast as a modern 600...... one of my fraternity brothers has a stock 99 ls1 A4, they raced and it was pretty darn close but the bike just barely, barely started edging out the ls1 at about 60, then we shut down. so its hard for me to tell..........now when i bring my car out this weekend i know he's going to want to race my Z with that bike. what do you think with my mods (sig) ????????

what was weird tho guys was the ls1 actually got the jump on him, and then after 60mph the bike started to edge out ? so im thinking with my mods i might be dead even or a little ahead across the board.

Here's an R6 (Yamaha) vs 'Busa race: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e02qT3fXH2c

Newer R6s are supposed to be faster, but they are still in the 10.5-10.7 range at a slightly higher MPH.
A "strapped" bone stock R6 has done 9s.
Liter bikes are in the LOW 10s
If it's a newer sportbike you better have a pretty damn fast car to want to run them from a dig.
From a roll on a .6L bike you won't have a chance until after 130 where they hit "the wall." I've had mine up to 158 but it creeped up there from 145.

I have an 04 Katana with Pipe and sproket. The damn thing can't get out of it's own way. My old race car could do a wheelie easier then the bike. I've had my bike up around 140 and it gets loose in the front. If you can dig him out of the hole and get good shifts you should be able to take him. I think a stock Katana runs 12.6s or 1/4 mile.
