"Stock Internals" Build
#102
I have one Rossler TH200. It was good for 15 passes! I have had no success with getting it freshened. TH200's are tricky. They are really fast, but very few people can make them last. I have had zero luck working with local shops to freshen any TH200. That said, a good TH200 is a good .010 faster than my best TH350.
My mistake though, they call the one in the pro mod a TH210 not TH200. Is it built off the same trans? I know next to nothing about them.

I found a place called Dynamic Converters / Pro-Formance Transmissions that builds TH200s. They don't have any prices, but I'm going to keep them in mind when it comes to order parts. The thing that got me excited is, "Options "Special note" - The TH-200 is now available as a retrofit to use with either a TH350, TH400 or Powerglide converters with no modifications. Bolts right in!"
That's perfect for me because I have one TH350 converter and am going to be getting another one soon. What do you have done to yours?
Second EDIT = Just this part: (I checked out the Turbo Action ones also and they run TH200s for a really good price. I might end up talking to them about the transmission too when it comes time.)
First EDIT = From here down: I left this open and didn't realize there was about 10 posts since I last checked it.
I believe Rossler's TH210 is based off of a TH400 with a 2.10 first gear. I was planning on building a TH350 in fact I already have it, but then I started reading about the TH200s. There's not a whole lot of information out there about them performance wise. I plan on running mine behind a Heads / Cam LS1 in my 93. I like the fact that it's about 39 lbs lighter than a TH350 and takes less energy to operate.
On the front bumper support are you allowed to modify it in any ways? If you are you can take a torch or a cutting wheel and cut a huge 5-10 lb section out of the middle of it. It will still allow you to mount the foam on it, but keep weight off of the nose of the car.

The rules state that the bumpers should be stock. Lots of other places to save weight though. My LT1 Formula weighs approx. 3000 lbs with me in it (190 lbs).

I wish that I weighed 170! I am about to make a trip to India, so I will probably get my wish!!
IMO, the best converter for Stock Eliminator is the ATI MRT 8". I would suggest that you start with a tight stall (4800-5200). It is well worth the money to buy ATI. If you are planning to run a TH350, give me a call. Maybe I can help you out.

GIZMO this is awesome! Like everyone else has said, I wish that someone had done something like this with me when I was younger. I'm not old by any means right now at 23, but it would have been nice to have some guidance. Everything I know has been self taught with the exception of my first oil change(Thanks Dad).
I am subscribing to this thread and I can't wait to see the finished product. Good Luck and God Bless on your trip to India.

Thanks for the information on the transmissions. I just picked up an 8 inch Coan 5200 that I'd had my eye on for a long time. I'm guessing you are limited to a 3000lb race weight? Otherwise I have quite a few ideas on how to take weight out.

3000 lbs is with both seats.

Are you raceweight limited or only limited to items you can remove? I can think of a few things right off the top of my head that you probably haven't removed that would drop some weight. Post up a link to the rules and I'll think of ways to take weight out.

This is the white car after its first trip to the body shop.
