The kids will be helping me with my Firebird next weekend at Rockingham. Last weekend they got it ready for me. They changed the oil, replaced the plugs, and rotated the slicks. After that they changed out the starter. They are really getting to be pretty good at this stuff!

(Before you ask. NO. That is not my bug!!)

Two of the fathers showed up in a pair of silver bugs. One of my friends who was driving by called just to give me verbal abuse over them. It got worse when I was spotted riding in one when we went out to lunch!

The kids will be at Farmington with me this weekend as the pit crew. We should run their car at Mooresville.

We will be running the regular eliminator on Saturday and Sunday, but we will also run Top Stock on Saturday night. Top Stock is a heads-up shootout of A/B/C Stockers running off an 8.25 lb/HP weight break. Last year we had a good mix of cars that included a 426 Hemi Challenger, some Max Wedge and Six-Pack cars, a couple of 428 Mustangs, some 396 and 427 Camaros, and quite a few LT1 cars. ET's are in the 6.3 - 6.7 range in the 1/8 mile.

Mooresville was rained out, so we worked on the car this morning.

New logo, sponsor and contingency decals, plus series decals.

The engine bay is pretty much finished.

Love the stance-car looks great. If you put any more in that truck bed you're going to have to use straps. ...LOL
