It looks like he is since the IAT has a bracket right before the TB.

Yeah that is what I thought too…I am an engineer for an air filter company and thoughout our testing we found that if you add a cone shaped funnel(tornado style) to the end of a pipe(or in your case a tb) you can increase from anywhere from 20%-30% for the same engine pull or load…(in our case a huge regen blower)…

So if we attach a 2” pvc pipe to the regen blower and set the VFD to a specific value of say 60hz if we can get a CFM value of say 500CFM through the 2” PVC pipe, if we were to duplicate the same setup with a cone shaped funnel on the inlet end of the PVC pipe and everything else being identical, we can now flow 650CFM through the PVC pipe…the best shape that has the least restriction though a pipe is a tornado like funnel shape…

So an idea might be to get an airfoil on the throttle body and possibly make something out of fiberglass to slip on the throttle body that resembles a funnel, doesn’t have to be big just have a nice smooth radius…

The throttle body has to be bone stock. We can run it open or run the factory duct work. Nothing aftermarket or fabricated is allowed.

I am looking for a stock LS1 air box and duct work for a 1998-2002 Ram Air T/A. Must be in mint condition.

Thanks for the offer, but I have already found one.

I do need the bellows/duct that goes on the throttle body on Ram Air LT1 cars.

After a week on the Disney Magic and two weeks work in Honduras I was finally able to get back and work on the car with the kids. We don't lack much now.

Bleeding the brakes.

i saw this thread and sat down and couldn't stop reading! this is a great project! i wish i could start something like this where i live. if y'all make it to shadyside some i'd love to come watch!

did you use speed pro hypereutectic pistons? what rods?

oh...and how does that fit with the rectangle header ports and the D-shaped head ports?

Today they installed the new aluminum Driveshaft.



Shift linkage and new deep transmission pan.



Jason and Caleb.

We hope to get it running this week.

The pistons and rods are the ones that came in the motor (Mahle/GM).

Is that the spohn 25mm rear sway bar? I run that as well and LOVE it. Cured a slight pulling to one side on launch that I had with the factory piece.

We finally got it running yesterday!

The Painless fuse/relay assembly gave us fits. Over half of the pins were installed in the wrong slots by the factory. Once we fixed that everything worked including the electric windows! She fired on the first hit too!

Lots of tuning to do.

if i were you id give painless a call and complain simply because thats bs. but at least you were all smart enough to figure out the problem and correct it. get some vids of that beast running now!
