Default To all who are SPRAYING regularly...

Looking for some input from people who spray their cars on a regular basis (100 shot and up) and still had reliability and longevity out of their motor. In my budget rebuild i am throwin in some forged pistons, but other wise a stock bottom end. I will have a tune for it, colder plugs, and will have it run on a dyno the first time its sprayed to check A/F ratio. It wont be sprayed every day, just mainly when im having some fun with her, but you get the point.

I was just wondering how many of you have had your car last with a set up like this (or on a stock bottom end). If you have done this but ended up breakin somethin, what was it and why did it happen? Also what recommendations you make as far as safety equipment (i.e. window switch, fpr switch, etc)?

I've sprayed a stock bottom end often and have even pushed the size of the shot up. I would say you will have no problems spraying a 150. spray it

I'm new to the JUICE and just started spraying. Check video below--first run ever on the jug.

From what i've been told by a pro nitrous user...Take your time..Start small. For the longevity part, it matters on the quality parts that you use and your tune. Taner and he builder told me that, and look at him.

But how long have you guys been sprayin for? Weeks, months... years?? I plan on only going with a 100wet shot, at least for now. I figure there should be no reason it can't handle a 150 all the time with the forged pistons, but i just wanna be easy on her for a while.

I plan on using a sniper kit that i am getting for $200 this weekend which is complete with wiring, lines, bottle, solenoids, purge/valves, and wot switch. I will eventually be using a window switch (may even get it before i spray it just to be safe). Like said already have a mail order tune coming back next week that incorporates the use of a 100 shot, I will be using plugs at least 1 step colder maybe 2, and I will run it for the first time on the dyno.

I just want to make sure that if I spray it a few times a week that ill be fine for a good while. I am also doing an M6swap, so need to worry about the trans goin out (may be pushin the stock clutch a little bit, but ill upgrade down the road). I will be happy if i can put down around 450 with my set up. Hopin to easily hit 11's and still be very reliable. Are my expectations to high??

The same guy that i was talking too, said that he's been spraying about twice that, for about 5yrs now. And every 2yrs or so, he pulls the motor down just to check things out..rings, bearings, etc.

If you dont hit 11's with the jug, than something is wrong with that car, lol.

Just run tr-6s, no reason to run 2 steps colder on a 100-150 shot.

I forgot to mention that as well. I plan on installing a racetronix fuel pump kit as well. Another thing though, how close would i be to maxin out the stock injectors?

Id go ahead with that Racetronix kit, TR6 plugs will do just fine, and wouldn't even bother with the stock injectors..30#'s or even 36#'s would be alright too. Id also try to get the tune nailed down the best you can. That is one of the big parts, of how long your setup will last you.

#-866-648-7637 is the one I used. I also bought my Racetronix PnP kit from him too..Awesome guy to deal with.

I ran a 150 wet shot on my stock bottom end for about 8 months spraying close to a bottle every week or two. All I did was use get the racetronix kit, all the safety equipment, TR6 plugs, and a Mallory 685 ignition box to retard timing and have an ignition related rev limiter instead of the stock fuel style rev limiter, and the window switch. Ran great, never hiccuped. Had 140,000 on the motor.

Mine runs fine with them. Your results may vary though.

I ran a Heads Cam (236/242 .568/.568 110lsa) stock shortblock setup from 2001 until 2004. Back then the car was hit with 150 shot every so often. (3 bottles a week )

Had a MSD digital 6 to retard timing and ignition based rev limiter, TR6 plugs, and had the A/F verified.
